The Dutch Australian Society “Abel Tasman” Inc is a registered not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1970. The Patron is Mr George Huizing – Hon Consul of the Netherlands.

The number of members at present is 220. The membership year is from 1st January to 31st December.
The Society is run by five unpaid officers and five committee members who are elected every year.
The Society publishes the Tasman Telegraph every quarter. The editors are Mr Kees and Mrs Irene Wierenga.
