Tulip Festival
The first weekend in October has been Tulip Festival at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens at Hobart’s Queens Domain for many years.

Tulips at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
The event started as a celebration of Dutch culture and to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation. Today it is no longer just a Dutch tulip festival but has become Tasmania’s premier spring multi-cultural gathering. The Gardens have a stunning display of tulips and other flowers and there are food stalls, music and children’s entertainment. More than 10,000 attend each year.
The Dutch Australian Society holds a fund-raising stall at the festival each year.
